Do I need to sign a long-term lease?

There is no lease requirement.

What is drive-up access?

Drive-up access allows our customers to park their vehicles directly in front of their rental units. It makes moving your belongings into your unit much easier.

Do I need to bring my own lock?

Yes, you will be responsible for providing your own lock.
Are there any items i'm not able to store?

The facility isn’t suitable for the storage of heirlooms or precious, invaluable, or irreplaceable property for which no immediate resale market exists, objects which are claimed to have special or emotional value, and records or receipts relating to the stored goods. Tenants are not allowed to store hazardous or flammable items, liquids, live plants and animals, drugs, or weapons. For further details please refer to your signed contract.
Do I need insurance?

All personal property stored by the occupant is stored at the occupant’s sole risk. The occupant must provide their own insurance for protection against fire, theft, damage, and other perils.
How do I discontinue my rental?

Written notice of termination is required 15 days in advance of the planned move-out. Please call or email us your plans for move-out at info@customstoragemn.com.
How do I protect my items while being stored?

We take the security of our occupant’s items seriously. We work quickly to repair maintenance issues with regular inspections. Due to the changing seasons at many of our facilities, occasional condensation can occur due to concrete slab sweating during the warmer months. To avoid potential issues related to sweaty concrete slabs, we recommend that occupants use pallets if storing items that can be damaged by condensation. We further recommend storing items susceptible to moisture off the floor and/or in plastic totes. The best practice for protection in all seasons is to place items on pallets inside the unit.
What security features does your facility have?

We take security seriously. We have state-of-the-art security cameras and the property is well lit.
Do you offer vehicle storage?

We sure do! Our parking spaces are perfect for a variety of vehicles, including snowmobiles, cars, RVs, boats, trailers, and more. We have inside or outside storage available.
